DECA competed against 14 other schools at the Rosemont Convention Center earlier this month and 24 will now be attending DECA State in March. Students competed in various events that consisted of two role plays and an economics exam. The results are below:
Buying and Merchandising - Charlie Dreebin placed 3rd on his Economics exam. Hospitality Services - Aaron Moeckler placed 3rd on his Economics exam.
Marketing Communications - Spencer Delman and Jordan Miller placed 3rd overall in this event.
Sports & Entertainment Marketing - Cody Weiss and Jason Shaltiel placed 2nd overall in this event. Jake Stotter and Jeff Zazove placed 2nd in role play #2. Jamie Hayes placed 3rd on her Economics exam.
Travel and Tourism - Julie Loiben and Katie Gottfried placed 2nd overall in this event. Caroline Bleser and Cara Silverman place 3rd overall in this event. Alexander Glantz and Greg Dikopf placed 2nd in role play #1.
Principles of Hospitality and Tourism - Alec Pighetti placed 1st overall in his event. Martin Lopez placed 2nd on his Economics Exam and 2nd on his role play #2.
Hotel and Lodging - Taylor Beauseigneur placed 3rd on role play #1.
Marketing Management - President Jordan Abosch placed 2nd overall.
Quick Serve Restaurant Management - Danielle Moyer placed 3rd overall.
Restaurant & Food Service Management - Scott Boorstein placed 2nd overall. Adam Grobart placed 3rd overall. Scottie Arnol place 3rd on Role Play #1, 3rd on Role Play #2
