Hey Governor Romney! Were you talking about me?

Hi! My name is Eleonora, and according to Governor Romney I’m one of the 47%.

You see, I support President Barack Obama and the Democrats. According to Gov. Romney, that means I “pay no income tax” and won’t take “personal responsibility and care” for my life. Gov. Romney says I’m dependent on government and think I’m “entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it.”

That would be news to my mortgage lender and my accountant.

Tell Governor Romney he’s wrong. Support Tenth Dems today.

My husband and I bought a modest house that we could afford and are actually prepaying our mortgage. We pay our bills on time, and never carry a credit card balance from month to month. The only government check we get is the one I earn when I do arbitration work for the county.

Since both of us are self-employed, we buy our own health
insurance. Sure, I had to scale back coverage. That’s because our health insurer kept reaching into our pocket, jacking up our premiums sometimes 20% a year. At that rate, the cost of health insurance was catching up to our
mortgage.

My husband and I work hard to raise our daughter to be a responsible, caring member of society. We work hard at being good neighbors and good citizens.

No, Mr. Romney. I’m not voting for President Barack Obama and the Democrats because I care about a government handout.

I’m voting for them because I care about OTHER people.

I care that their children go to good schools and drink clean water. I care that we don’t turn our planet into a toxic mess. I care that those who become ill don’t lose their homes after their health insurer denies coverage. I care that corporations like Bain Capital don’t rob workers of their jobs and then call those workers deadbeats.

I care that every American has the opportunity to earn the kind of success that matches their potential.

And because I care, I support Tenth Dems. I want to make sure that the candidates who care as I do will get elected. Join me by clicking here to contribute to the Tenth Dems.

Gov. Romney believes Americans who don’t support him are lazy, self-absorbed freeloaders. Let’s demonstrate how wrong he is.

Stand with Tenth Dems today and together we can show Mitt Romney what it looks like when Democrats take personal responsibility for protecting the values and ideals we share for our country.

Eleanora is a great example of why an independent like me has decided to vote for Romney not necessarily because I'm an adamant Romney supporter but because it is a vote against Obama. I am absolutely sick of Obama and his supporters distorting the opposition's statements and whining constantly about everything Romney's camp does and says. It is now clear that this is the only defense Obamaites have as Obama's record is a disaster for the future health of the U.S. and his behavior is unpresidential and detrimental to the unity of the U.S. and its global image.
What makes Eleanora and the merry band of Obama supporters believe that Obama will figure out how to deliver the hope and change he promised 4 years ago in his second term? He has failed and shows no sign that he has the experience or understanding as to how to succeed.

You can't deliver "Hope and Change" when half of the elected officials of the federal government decide that "making Obama a one term President" is more important than running the country. Latest example denying veterans the services they deserve all for politics. Now is the time to vote Democratic!

Besides whining, I should have mentioned blame as another Obamaite excuse/defense. Democrats controlled congress for his first two years so the "half of elected officials" excuse doesn't work. Besides, how about providing factual support for the "half of elected officials" claim? Typical tactic of generalization without facts. While you're at it, how about some factual support for "denying veterans the services they deserve"?
Blaming Bush, blaming elected officials who vowed to make him a one term president and the latest Obama blame, citizens/voters - since he is unable to do it from within he needs more help from voters to change from outside! Come on!Enough already! If he was the uniter and unifier that he and his supporters said he was supposed to be he and voters believed him to be 4 years ago, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in here or in the middle east. Get rid of him. He had his chance. For the good of the U.S. and the rest of the world, vote him out.

These people talk as if Obama has not been President for the last 4 years. Let me get this straight, you are voting for him because you care about OTHER people. How about the OTHER people like 88 million of them no longer in the labor force, or the OTHER people setting record foreclosure stats, or the OTHER people who are on the hook for the record massive debt accumulated recently, or the OTHER people who are running business at 1% GDP. The OTHER people you must care for probably ran green companies like Solyndra and received millions from stimulus money and are now bankrupt. I guess it all depends who the OTHER people are in your case.

McClown...I can assure you that the CORPORATE MASTERS who really run this country do not care about others. It is quite obvious they care only for themselves...hence all the problems you chose to illuminate. Get real.

J. Robert ... Say you hire a carpenter to do one small repair on one door in your home...and you come home to find he has nailed all your doors closed. Would you blame him for the mistakes? Of course you would. He made the mistakes and to blame him is an obvious and elementary conclusion. Infact, you would be wholly correct to lay blame. So...for Obama and his supporters to lay blame on the previous administration is an act no different than you blaming your carpenter. They see fault and they blame...just as Romney blames Obama for the mess he perceives . It is a universal reaction. Can you honestly say you have never blamed anyone in your life? If you answer yes...you are a liar. So...I suggest you keep try to keep it real.

Are you serious? What an absurd analogy. But to keep it simple for you I'll attempt to follow the same path...assuming the carpenter nailed the doors shut 4 + years ago, we brought in a new carpenter who assured and promised us that he knew how to fix our problem and in fact was so confident he said that if he didn't fix it in 4 years he didn't deserve to keep his job. He was so good at his sales job that he was hired and has done nothing but sell since he was hired but has not fixed or even come close to fixing the problems. Some believe the problems have become worse...maybe like the guy that was hired even nailed the windows shut. But still some of those that hired him 4 years ago still don't get it and want to hire him again. Maybe just maybe, Just Sayin, its time for you to get real and realize that a completely incompetent carpenter was hired 4 years ago.

J. Robert...Your response to me has absolutely no relation to the point I was making. I am totally disinterested in your political views and justifications. I was merely pointing out the folly of your remarks regarding "blame". Apparently I should have made it even more simple so you would have actually gotten the point and then, perhaps, you would have crafted a more appropriate response.

The better analogy is you hire a carpenter, and give him a credit card for his equipment, but the carpenter goes to Vegas and maxes out the credit limit.

Sorry, Just Sayin, that I'm not at the same intellectual level that you are. But I do have to say that while one may blame another for poor performance, it doesn't solve the problem of poor performance.
While I am amused by your cute intervention to craft such an appropriate analogy, I fail to understand why you find it necessary to do such a thing in a political discussion.
By the way, I'd blame myself for hiring such an inept and incompetent carpenter. He may have made the mistakes but the bigger mistake was hiring him. Gee, maybe your analogy isn't so bad after all???

J. Robert..."Blaming Bush, blaming elected officials who vowed to make him a one term president and the latest Obama blame, citizens/voters - since he is unable to do it from within he needs more help from voters to change from outside"! "Come on"
I say...come on J. ... the candidate of your choice riddles his stump speeches with fault finding and blame. I find it curious that it is apparently a bone of contention for you when it comes from the Obama camp. Let's face it...Obama blamed Bush...Bush blamed Clinton...Clinton blamed Bush Sr....on and on ad nauseam. Fault finding and blame are part of the political landscape. Were it not...the opposition would have no reason to to run. So to pick on Obama for blaming is just ludicrous. Bush, elected officials and the citizens of this country all shoulder blame. In fact...all humans are a fault for something or another...no one is perfect. And...as I stated up north...it is a universal reaction to blame others. And...while I would like to agree with your statement..."it doesn't solve the problem of poor performance" it is, in reality, the first step to change and correction. Now...if you choose to blame yourself for hiring an inept carpenter that would be up to you and your therapist. Just sayin'

So, Just Sayin, it is about politics after all...even after you declared that you're not interested in my political views and that your point is simply to point out the folly of my remarks regarding blame. I appreciate you coming clean...that's a positive turn!
The distinct difference that you ignore is that with the previous presidents that you mention, the game of blaming their predecessors stopped after the election and did not continue three and a half years into their respective presidential terms. Their behavior implied acceptance of the responsibility that they assumed when each was sworn in to office. Another critical difference is that each of them had applicable leadership experience and some level of competence in managing and leading. The lack of that experience and ability is painfully evident with our current president. So if you believe what you said about blame, "it is, in reality, the first step to change and correction" then you must believe that correcting our current problems requires a change in leadership at the top.
It is evident that your Just Sayin handle is meaningful, well selected and reflective of one who likes to "just say" things with little concern for legitimacy. Phony intellectualizing doesn't cut it in the real world. Accepting blame for my mistakes and resisting the victim mentality may be what has kept me from requiring a therapist. Maybe you should try it...being accountable might require less therapy for you.
