Public Invited to Order Engraved Pavers for Woodland Park
As Woodland Park begins to undergo improvements in the coming months, including extended walking trails, a rain garden, native planting areas and savannah restoration; a new shelter area and restroom facilities, and replacement of old playground equipment by the Deerfield Park District; orders are now also being accepted by Deerfield Park Foundation for individual- or family- sized engraved pavers to be placed in the new seating area. An enlarged permeable paved parking area will increase available parking and a seat wall made from recycled materials will enhance the environmental quality of the site. Large, engraved individual pavers come 5" x 10" and allow for three lines/16 character or spaces per line at a cost of $70 per paver. Oversized "Family-size" pavers –great for businesses, corporations or for recognizing coaches, teachers, troop leaders or others– are 10" x 10" and accommodate seven lines with 16 characters or spaces per line at a cost of $130 each.* These Woodland Park Engraved Pavers are a fundraising project of the Deerfield Park Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, nongovernmental organization. Proceeds benefit Foundation projects such as purchasing recycling containers for all Deerfield park and park-school locations, helping to subsidize "Grants-in-Aid" (scholarships) for those in serious financial need to attend certain programs, providing July 4 Free Swimming, being Entertainment Sponsor for the Deerfield-Bannockburn area's Community Services Day and more. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. To order a paver: go to www.deerfieldparkfoundation.org, call 847-945-0650 or email: info@dfpd.org.
