Fans of the music of John Philip Sousa will be treated to a concert of his work by the Deerfield Community Band under the direction of Art Hildebrand at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Patty Turner Center celebrating the composer’s 158th birthday.

Sousa, who was born Nov. 6, 1854, wrote marches including “The Washington Post March,” Semper Fidelis” and “The Stars and Stripe Forever.”
Tickets are $5 for members of the Patty Turner Center and $8 for others. Tickets are available at the Patty Turner Center, the Deerfield Park District office and on line.
