What Businesses Opened and Closed in Deerfield in 2012
Several new businesses opened shop, while others left town.
Many new businesses started to call Deerfield home in 2012.
Others left the community after years, or in some cases, just months with the village.
Here is a round-up of some of the more notable openings and closing in 2012, according to Andrew Lichterman, management analyst with the village of Deerfield.
One of the most popular additions has been Bobby’s Deerfield, which opened in downtown Deerfield. The popular restaurant serves up lunch and dinner to customers.

Other openings in 2012 included Sign-A-Rama, Bedding Experts, and GolfTech.
Other new additions coming to town are North Shore Furrier and Formal Wear and Lifetouch Portrait Studio, Lictherman said.
He added that a handful of businesses opened in the community in mid-to-late 2011, and really became a big part of Deerfield in 2012.
They are popular restaurants, including Tom and Eddie’s, Rosebud, Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano and Noodles and Company.
Other businesses left the community in 2012, including Best Buy and Bally’s Total Fitness.
Other losses in the community according to Lictherman are Office Depot, Wood Fire Chicken and Wonder!, which closed after just a few months in business.

If restaurant sign appearance standards are so important in this village, then why can't we enforce removal of signs from businesses that have closed; to wit:
The ugly skeletal remains of Woodfire on Lake Cook Road, or Wonder, or General Cinema.
