I don't suppose you ever heard of Highwood were real Italians live.
Perhaps you out of towers might try the Del Rio.
Glad you moved here. Sort of!

Seriously, I so agree will Bill Brown. How can you rate Italian eateries on the North Shore and not include Highwood's "fresh from Emilio Romano and Tuscany" eateries. Here are just a few of those amazing Italian eateries. Pastificio (celebrating 35 years in business this year), Del Rio (they have been open for business for nearly 80 years), Nite n Gale (open 70 years), Washington Gardens (introduced pizza to the north shore in the 1950's open about 75 years), Gabriels (open 20 years), Buffo's (open more than 35 years), Tratorioa Giaccomo's (open 20 years.) These are all family owned businesses that have been in the same family for as many years as they have been open, the recipes, handed down with loving care. All the restaurants you mention in HP and Deerfield are fine restaurants ( Italian Kitchen is wonderful) but to leave out Little Italy when discussing Italian Restaurants on the north shore is just a little silly!

I can't vote for any of them. Bella Via - sometimes the food and service is good, sometimes not. Italian Kitchen - Service so slow you could go to another restaurant, eat there, come back, and your food still wouldn't be ready. Rosebud: Started out nice in HP, went downhill service and food-wise over the years, I'm not sure I'm willing to risk my time and money on their new location at the remodeled Baker's Hair location in Deerfield.

Looking most forward to Moderno, which is moving into the old Rosebud space. Also, I agree with those above - add Highwood's restaurants! I haven't eaten in HP for a good dinner in a long time - Highwood's always the choice.
