For those who may be procrastinating with plans for dinner on Christmas day, there will be but one opportunity in Deerfield but do not plan to go the grocery store after 6 p.m. today. 

Rosebud, open from from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday appears to be the only option for those who wish to dine out, according to, the Deerfield Chamber of Commerce website.

Grocery stores in the area including Whole Foods, Jewel, Dominick’s and Sunset Foods in both Highland Park and Lake Forest will close at 6 p.m. today and not reopen until Wednesday.

Though Deerfield will be quiet on Christmas, those wishing to see a movie can go to the the Landmark Renaissance Theater in Highland Park or the Northbrook Court theaters.
