Tigers Play for Volleyball Title

Deerfield and Highland Park athletes push Chicagoland Jewish High School into Regional final.

Oct. 23 

The Final Score:        Chicagoland Jewish High School defeated North Shore Country Day, 20-25, 25-18, 25-23. 

Tigers’ Star Performer:        Caroline Dreifuss of Deerfield recorded four kills, dished out six assists and had 12 digs.

Other Notable Tiger Performances:            Annie Schrayer of Highland Park scored on five kills and had the same number of digs. Highland Park’s Zoe Goldhirsch chipped in seven assists. 

Who’s Next:   The Tigers meet Waldorf of Chicago for the Illinois High School Association 1A Regional title at 6 p.m. Thursday on the Chicagoland Jewish High School campus.

The Bottom Line:      After dropping the first set to North Shore Country Day, 25-20, the Tigers rallied to easily win the next set, 25-18, and edge the opposition in the third, 25-23 to advance to the title game. A victory will move the Tigers into the Sectionals for the first time in school history.
