VIDEO: Deerfield Shines During Fine Arts Festival

Weekend event showcases talented artists from around the country.

Jewett Park was packed this weekend for the ninth annual Deerfield Festival of Fine Arts. Residents were treated to paintings, jewelry, photography and sculptures from more than 100 artists from around the country, including a 10-year-old Deerfield native.

Locals also got to enjoy food, a silent auction, kids activities and live music from multiple bands. A portion of the festival's  proceeds will benefit ovarian cancer research through City of Hope.

Click on the video link for a look at some of the most unique artwork on sale this weekend as well as the youngest exhibitor in the festival, 10-year-old Kailey Skye from Deerfield.

My wife, daughter, and myself loved Kailey Skye's functional art. She's a terrific seamstress and every piece is handmade by Kailey. I hope she makes a million. I hope someone will give her some seed money to expand her empire.

Nice to know in Deerfield we have entrepreneurs, mompreneurs, and now kidpreneurs.
