VIDEO: Giant Dogs Bring Big Love To Residents in Need
Susan Knaack has developed an animal-assisted therapy program that's helping residents one bark at a time.
Local resident Susan Knaack has always had a love for animals, she just didn't know they were going to become her full-time career.
Knaack founded the not-for-profit, Adventures With Bailey. It's an animal-assisted therapy program based out of the Bannockburn area.
"The dogs visit seniors that are rehabbing post-op, they work with Alzheimers and dimentia patients, they work with at-risk readers and they work with at-risk teenagers," Knaack said.
Deerield Patch sat down with Knaack and her furry friends to see what Adventures With Bailey is all about. Check out our video to watch her animals in action.
