yeah thats a real issue how about irritating another decent place until it leaves town we'll always have mcdonalds dog food to eat even quicker with more drive thru no need to get off your butt to eat , as always, good work!

Advertising Prime Steaks? How horrible. Run them out of town. We don't need the sales tax revenue. Okay, in jest....but, seriously the business climate in this town needs to change so we can keep the business we have. The Village allows that awful tall cell phone tower in the middle of town that's almost twice as tall as needed and they are worried about advertising what type of food Carson's serves? It's a nice looking sign. Ridiculous.

I'm with Walter. The next location election will be my first as a resident for any length of time, and I'm going to be looking at alternatives VERY closely.

There's seriously an ordinance against mentioning a specific type of food? Why? This is certainly a case where we need to take a step back. I would understand if the sign was too large, or too brightly lit, or obstructing a view...but you can't mention a specific type of food? Come on Deerfield, let's focus on the big picture and create a business-friendly village. Not one that focuses on such silliness. I think I'll have Carson's tonight just to show my support.

The sign is fine and the rules around signage are dumb. However, Carson's didn't follow the process and that makes me feel less bad for them then if they had and got rejected.

Congratulations Sgt. Juan Mazariego ... met you once or twice and each time you were wonderful and nice ... all police departments should have people like you!

I understand that Carson's initially didn't follow the proper approval procedure, but rejecting the sign because it refers to a specific kind of food is absolutely ridiculous.

I would hope that the board has better things to do than get on Carson's for it's signage.
