Warrior Football Schedule Released

Defending Central Suburban League North Division champs begin fall campaign August 24 against Zion-Benton.

Deerfield High School’s football team will open its season against Zion-Benton of the North Suburban Conference at 7:30 p.m. August 24 in Zion, according to schedules announced Thursday by the Illinois High School Association.

After a second non conference contest August 31 against St. Viator, the Warriors have a pair of Central Suburban League crossover games before beginning defense of their Central Suburban League North Division title Sept. 21 against Glenbrook North.

After dropping its first three games in 2011, Deerfield went on a six game winning streak to win the league title with an undefeated conference record and earn a post season berth. The Warriors secured the crown with a 45-21 victory over Highland Park. They will finish the season once again against the traditional rival Giants.

The complete schedule, which also includes games against Maine South, Waukegan, Maine West, Maine East and Niles North, can now be found on the school’s website.
