What’s Your Favorite Place in Town for Mother’s Day Brunch?

Let your voice be heard in Patch’s latest Readers’ Choice series.

Choosing the best place in Deerfield for Mother’s Day brunch, the latest in the Patch Readers’ Choice series, pits two winners from pervious categories against each other.

How did this happen? It may have occurred because there can be a variety of definitions of brunch and Mother’s Day brunch in particular. What’s the best way to settle it?

In addition to voting four your favorite spot to celebrate Mother’s Day May 13 and posting a review on that eatery’s Patch listing, let us know with your comments what makes a good place for brunch. In the event of a tie, the place with the most comments in its favor wins.

The places in this week’s contest are:

The two previous winners are Rhapsody Café and Trax.Rhapsody Café narrowly edged out Kevin’s Place two weeks ago for the best breakfast spot. Last month Trax was voted best place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. In addition to its green beer in March and being an official Chicago Blackhawks bar, it serves Sunday brunch.

Voting and commenting remain open until 9 a.m. Friday. Reviews can be posted continually. Patch will announce the winner at noon Friday.

If you find a place in Deerfield we have left out, let us know in the comments and we’ll add it.

This list truly makes me sad. Places like Kevin's and Rhapsody are solid. But to see the Bagel Bin side-by-side on this list with them seems to draw feelings of anger from within me. I'm not sure I would even subject my evil step-mother in-law to such a place. Those are not bagels. In NY we wouldn't even classify what that kitchen produces as rolls. As a starting point, try putting seeds on both sides. Failure to do so in Queens is a $75 violation. If i wanted 1/2 a plain bagel i would order one. At least the guy at Upper Crust puts some effort into his product...but he may too learn from this 'seed' advice. And strip Panera from a list that is ranking the local mom-n-pops, plz. Has anyone been to new place in the Embassy?

At least Mcdonalds didn't make the list.

When you look at the list its clear that Deerfield has no real choices because they've either closed or aren't dumb enough to set up shop here.
