Steve Goreham is an individual worth knowing. Goreham's list of credentials include roles as a speaker and researcher on environmental issues, as well as an engineer and business executive. He is also executive of the Climate Science Coalition of America (CSCA), a non-political association of scientists, engineers, and citizens dedicated to informing Americans about the realities of climate science and energy economics. www.climatescienceamerica.org
I first met Steve Goreham in his capacity as a speaker at the Heartland Institute's Seventh International Conference on Climate Change held in Chicago at the Hilton Chicago this past May. (http://heartland.org/events/seventh-international-conference-climate-change) Steve Goreham was one of approximately 60 scientists and policy experts who spoke at panel sessions exploring what real climate science is telling up about the causes and consequences of climate change, basically, that man is not the boggy man! Goreham's CCC7 excellent presentation, The Mad, Mad, Mad World of Climatism: Mankind and Climate Change Mania, can be heard at this link. http://climateconferences.heartland.org/steve-gorehan-iccc7/
A few weeks after my introductory meeting with Steve Goreham at the Heartland Conference, his role as a speaker was further reinforced in my mind when he heeded my request to travel to Highland Park, IL to take a stand against my own State Rep. Karen May (D-58) at a North Shore symposium with its goal of bringing together the economic, scientific and military communities to discuss the links between American energy decisions and national security. http://nancyjthorner.wordpress.com/2012/06/12/part-2-is-climate-change-really-a-threat-too-national-security-continution-of-karen-mays-misguided-north-shore-symposium-on-june-2nd-which-linked-the-two-together/
Now fast forward several months to Friday, October 5th when an e-mail arrived in my "Inbox" from Steve Goreham with news that his second book on climate change was now available. I already knew that Goreham's The Mad, Mad, World of Climatism was in the works, having heard his presentation of the same at the May Heartland Conference.
Without delay I ordered one copy for myself and several copies as gifts for friends. You can find Steve Goreham's book on his website www.climatism.net and on the Amazon site. EBooks are also available from Amazon, Barnes & Nobel, and Apple.
The blurb promoting The Mad, Mad, Mad World of Climatism goes like this:
"The first climate change book that is fun to read! Using figures, cartoons, and whimsical sidebars, Steve Goreham describes our crazy world, which is far down the primrose path of global warming fantasy. Contrary to popular consensus, climate change is natural and not caused by our cars. But the book is not short on science. Goreham uses charts, graphs, and references to dozens of scientific papers to support his argument. He shows that icecap melting, stronger storms, polar bear extinction and many other climate fears are unfounded. At the the same time, his large collection of zany pictures and quotes grabs the reader's interest."
Why not purchase several copies of Steve's book as gifts for your children or grandchildren as a guide to the false dogma they are being subjected to in the public schools?
In light of an article published in the Los Angeles Times by Karen Kaplan on October 5 noting how presidential candidates Obama and Romney view science policy, your liberal friends would certainly benefit from reading Steve Goreham's book before voting in the November elections. http://articles.latimes.com/2012/oct/05/science/la-sci-science-debate-part-1-20121006j
Obama's response to climate change:
"We are showing international leadership on climate change, reaching historic agreements to set emission limits in unison with all major developed and developing nations. I will continue efforts to reduce our dependence on oil and lower our greenhouse gas emission while creating an economy built to last."
Romney had this to say:
"The primary effect of unilateral action by the U.S. to impose costs on its own emissions will be to shift industrial activity overseas to nations whose industrial processes are more emissions-intensive and less environmentally friendly."
Need I say more? Steve Goreham's book -- order now at www.climatism.net -- will show how curbing evil carbon-emitting ways is a ruse. Further, that the side effects of extreme environmentalism (going green) will result in destroying the competitiveness of Illinois and this nation, and with it goes the loss of jobs and economic prosperity.

How much is this lady making from the sale of the book? See other thread. 97% of scientists CAN be wrong if your faith, politics, or more likely your income depend on it. (with apologies to Upton Sinclair)

97%? Why not write 99%, if you are going to make hyperbole why not go almost all the way. Everybody knows we base scientific law based on consensus, right?

I just picked 97% out of the air. Scientists agree based on an overwhelming (about 20:1) consensus than there is a human contribution to global climate change, but of course you can always find a gadfly selling a book who disagrees. Scientists agree by consensus (about a million to one) that evolution is the means by which the human animal became "human" and geophysics, and astrophysics are basically right about the age of the planet. I hear nearly half of the US population believes otherwise. Whew are we in trouble?!

The glaciers will be bearing down on Chicago and these idiots will still be screaming that global warming doesn't exist. What I don't get is what is their motivation other than just agreeing with their heroes in the GOP. How does denying this reality improve your life? Do you or someone in your family own an CFC factory?
