Please welcome the newest team to Deerfield High School. DSI (Deerfield Sports
Information) is now streaming live video of high school games on the internet.

“Our kids are working really hard,” Robert Ruiz, DHS athletic director, said.

More than 10 students are currently participating in the program. They shoot, edit and stream sports games online. Some of the videos are accompanied by a play-by-play commentary. They are also in charge of scoreboard announcements at the games. “There’s a high level of responsibility,” Ruiz commented and added
he’s got big plans for DSI.

The team wants to improve its video and commentary quality as it gains notoriety. Students would also like to conduct live pre and post-game interviews as well as produce post-game shows.  

Anyone who is interested in sports broadcasting and management is being encouraged to participate.
