There is an election this year in November and we need turn turn out in record numbers. You canRead Morevote early, you can vote by mail, you can vote Rep. Scott Drury out of office. It's Time, to take Springfield back from the people who have ruined this state and set it on a course of financial disaster! It is time to replace them with people who will respect our Constitutional Rights.

When will the guy who writes this stuff everyday "get it" that we all get the point, Read Morethat he is pushing people away from his pro gun thing because he sounds like a gun loving maniac who cares about nothing else and has no interests other than eventually wanting to shoot somebody somewhere, probably someone in highland park because he is so incredibly jealous of the financial, educational, and business successes that stem from there. He just can't handle it. I would be for legalizing guns just hear another subject on here, this horse has been dead a while. My guess is if this man gets his way, he still won't like highland park. Which is fine because he doesn't live shop work or vote in HP.

I usually don't put stickers on my car but when I saw this one I couldn't resist. " You areRead Moret he product of 4 billion years of evolution. F***ing act like it". That about sums it up. Given up on humanity...perhaps.

@faceonmars - the issue of knowing where she was, or sightings of her, or very frequent daily! InRead Morefa ct, I saw her two hours before she was hit. The problem was, she wouldn't let anyone get close enough to hurt to catch her. She would see someone and run! But in general, I think they should make microchips with GPS. I know they have collars that have GPS. But often people don't keep collars on 24 /7 and collars also can come off when dogs get lost. The family really did everything they possibly could. Her getting loose was not their fault. Which is often not the case. The person walking her slipped on the ice and let go of the leash. That could have happened to anybody. The whole story is just gut wrenching. The family set up a Dog trap. Unfortunately, it was not initially set up properly. In fact, she ate all the food that they placed in it the day before she was hit. So the following day, when I corrected the setup of the trap (which sadly is the day she was watching me do so from a distance) we were certain that was the day we were going to catch her. She knew the food was there, and we knew she was going to go in there to eat it! But unfortunately, two hours later she got hit by the car and did not survive. sOoooo many people were involved in trying to rescue Lexi. It seemed like the entire neighborhood was on the lookout for her and calling the family with sightings. It's a horrible ending for everybody involved. RIP sweet Lexi

Shira: wasn't suggesting a GPS device per se, but rather some sort of feature which sends a signal Read Moreto a car to alert the driver that a dog is in very close proximity and to slow down / hit the brakes. Just like small children, dogs can make very sudden an unexpected movements around cars. Definitely not saying it's anyone's fault ... it's an unfortunate tragedy all around.

Speak Out? More like Ad Out. Silverberg's is good, but tremendously expensive. Look to pay 11Read Morebu cks for 2 slices of rye and a heap of corned beef with a very small side of potato salad + a (very crisp) pickle. I'd go back if it were priced in the 7-8 dollar range, which is a usual price-point for artisan sandwiches across the country (The Cleveland Pickle comes to mind). And as good as the deli meat is, a heap of it between 2 slices of rye does not qualify as "artisan."
