The Deerfield American Legion Post 738 welcomes all military veterans to become active members in support of disabled veterans residing at the Cptn. James Lovell VA Medical Center in North Chicago, and by  supporting local youth and civic charitable activities. Business meetings are held at the Post on the second Monday of the month, and a Social Meeting is held on the fourth Monday. Both meetings start at 7 pm. The Post is centrally located in the downtown area across North Waukegan Road from the Deerfield Village Hall.
