American Legion Post 738 will sponsor a traditional Memorial Day program at the Veterans Memorial in Jewett Park (opposite the Metra train station). The program begins at 10 am and is followed by a parade from Village Hall to the Deerfield Cemetery on South Waukegan Road where veterans dating back to the Civil War are buried.

More About Jewett Park Community Center
The Jewett Park Community Center is the home base for the Deerfield Park District; which is why there is always a steady stream of cars on Jewett Park Drive. Besides the park district's administrative offices and preschool, the center also houses an indoor playground and dance studio. Moving outside, kids can enjoy an outdoor playground as well as a public skate park. The community center is where the park district holds most of its programming.
