We work with PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) through a center in Waukegan that provides temporary sleeping accommodations for 42 clients. NSUC provides the evening meal every third Sunday to this facility. We need volunteers to help with preparation, delivery, serving, and cleaning up for the third Sunday evening meals that we sponsor.

More About North Shore Unitarian Church
Come one, come all. If North Shore Unitarian Church were to have a slogan, that might be it. The church is a Unitarian-Universalist congregation, which partly means members do not share a single creed. Instead, theological diversity is encouraged. Reverend Gary Scott James leads services in one of the most unique sanctuaries Deerfield, or any other suburb, has to offer. The reverend's podium is actually a rock, transported from a farmer's field in Wisconsin and lodged on top of natural soil in the church. During those sermons, participants get to marvel at the sanctuary's fused-glass windows, an architectural masterpiece, rich with meaning.
