Deerfield Investigation Leads to Child Pornography Indictment

Gurnee man is indicted after investigation by Deerfield Police.

A Gurnee man was indicted on four charges of possession of child pornography by the Lake County Grand Jury Wednesday after an investigation by Deerfield Police Detective Marci Landy led to his arrest Sept. 27 after a five-month investigation.

Victor Pimentel, 25, of Gurnee was arrested as the result of an investigation begun when Landy, who was working as part of  a Homeland Security task force tracking cyber crimes, tracked images of children of a sexual nature to Pimentel’s IP address. The images were found on the hard drive of his computer.

All four counts against Pimentel are Class 2 felonies which carry a sentence of between three and seven years in prison.
