Highway 41 Delays Continue
Grinding at Highway 41 and Park Avenue West will slow daytime traffic through Wednesday.
Road construction at Highway 41and Park Avenue West in Highland Park will continue through Wednesday causing delays to traffic in both directions, according to communication from the City of Highland Park.
At 12:45 p.m. today, southbound traffic was backed up into Lake Forest though northbound traffic was moving freely.
The resurfacing work by the Illinois Department of Transportation is scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Though there could be multiple lanes closed at once, the roadway will remain open. There will be no overnight closures.

People wishing to ease their way heading southbound can enter Highway 41 at Deerfield Road. Persons going north can avoid the intersection by entering at Half Day Road.
