People With Odd Addresses Get Two Days to Water Lawns

Village continues to search for Ronald Kite.

As Deerfield continues to enforce its lawn watering restrictions, people whose address end in an odd number will enjoy two consecutive days of watering today and Thursday and get the same benefit a month from now.

No one can water lawn between noon and 6 p.m., according to Village Manager Kent Street. People whose address ends in an odd number may sprinkle on odd numbered days at other hours. Those with even numbered addresses can do the same on even numbered days.

There is a reason for the conservation despite a summer which has been wetter than usual. The Village gets its water from Highland Park which is renovating its plant this summer. “Our regulations are impacted this year because of the plant in Highland Park,” Street said.
