School Starts Wednesday

School begins Wednesday at Deerfield High School, Deerfield Public Schools District 109 schools and Holy Cross Parish School. Chicagoland Jewish High School started classes Tuesday.

And, after getting the children ready for school, you can head to the Deerfield Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to learn about the history of Star Trek.

Have you always wanted to perform on stage? If you’re willing to take a chance, you can audition for the Deerfield Family Theater’s production of “The Secret Garden” at 6 p.m. Wednesday. If that doesn’t work, you can show up at the Jewett Park Community Center at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Opera star Christian Ketter will perform classical and Broadway music at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Patty Turner Center.
