Wind Chill Advisory Issued for Lake County

Wind chill values could reach 25 degrees below zero.

According to the National Weather Service in Chicago, the wind chill advisory will begin at 3 a.m. Tuesday and end at 10 a.m

Wind chill values are expected to drop to 25 degrees below zero, with the actual overnight low temperature expected to be 6 degrees below zero.

"This will result in frostbite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken," said National Weather Service officials. "If you must venture outdoors, make sure you wear a hat and gloves."

Wednesday's forecast calls for a high of 15 degrees, followed by a high of 9 degrees on Thursday.
