Training Seminar: Preventing Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC)

The Salvation Army PROMISE (Partnership to Rescue Minors from Sexual Exploitation) Program seminar will train participants to detect risk factors, identify and effectively engage victims and build skills necessary to serve youths affected by human trafficking.  Individuals from social service agencies; law enforcement personnel; medical and mental health workers; counselors; youth and recreational agencies staff; individuals from religious institutions along with anyone else who has a heart for protecting children should attend.

The full-day seminar will include presentations by the Director of The Salvation Army PROMISE Program and the founder of Anne's House, a residential home for women and girls who are victims of commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking, and Detective Al Krok, Special Investigations Unit, Chicago Police Department, Retired.

WHEN: Saturday, November 23, 2013; 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

COST: $30. Price includes training, materials, breakfast and lunch.

LPCs, LCPCs, LWSs and LCSWs will earn 6 free CEU credits (a $600 value).
