Deerfield Youth Softball Social with Chicago's Professional Fastpitch Softball Team

Six more inches of snow may fall before the end of the week, but come Sunday the crack of the bat is back!

All Deerfield Youth Softball (DYSBA) parents and players are welcome to enjoy pizza, sweet treats, a movie and several surprises from Chicago Bandits players, Chicago's professional fastpitch softball team.

This will be an opportunity ahead of the spring season for all DYSBA players to come together to share in the spirit of the forthcoming season and spend a few hours with their friends from the softball fields.

"There may still be a lot of snow on the ground, but we know the girls are eager to get back on the fields," said Jason Orleans, co-director of softball for DYSBA. "The Social is a fun way to bring everyone together with the added bonus of great food, fantastic surprises and a visit from players the girls here in Deerfield can try and emulate on the field."

The DYSBA Softball Social is at Shepard Middle School in the cafeteria this Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 4 to 6 p.m.
