Evergreen Academy Receives $1k Grant from New York Life

The North Shore General Office of New York Life, located in Deerfield, Illinois, awarded Evergreen Academy of McKinley Park, Chicago, a $1,000 grant to support the school’s Girls in the Game program.

Girls in the Game provides and promotes sports and fitness opportunities, nutrition and health education, and leadership development to enhance the overall health and well-being of girls.

Local sixth grader Daisy Cardoso received the award for her school and was recognized at the Big East women’s basketball tournament at DePaul University.  Ms. Cardoso attended the game as one of 1,000 Girls in the Game participants and family members who received free tickets underwritten by New York Life.
