The Art of Craft Debuts in Evanston

On Sunday, August 4, craft enthusiasts came together for the debut of “The Art of Craft: Works from NorthShore University HealthSystem’s Collection of Fine American Craft,” a special free exhibition at the Evanston Art Center (2603 Sheridan Road, Evanston). Taking place in conjunction with the 29th annual American Craft Exposition (ACE), this collaborative effort between ACE, the Evanston Art Center and NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) aims to raise awareness and increase education of fine craft.

Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails while getting a first-hand glimpse into the incredible collection which is being housed at the Evanston Art Center through August 25. For the first time, the exhibition has brought together works from the collection of NorthShore, which are displayed at its four hospitals (Evanston Hospital, Glenbrook Hospital, Highland Park Hospital and Skokie Hospital).
