Deerfield Adults Spent a Combined $111,958 on Halloween Last Year

Adults are stealing the Halloween show from kids. See how much you and your neighbors spent on costumes last year!

American's spent $512.1 million dollars on adult Halloween costumes last year. Yes, you read that correctly.

That number comes from Crain's Chicago Business and their recently released map showing spending on adult costumes for Halloween in 2011. It's more than 100 million more than was spent on kid's costumes last year.

It seems like the adults are getting into Halloween even more from the kids.

People in Deerfield spent a combined $111,958 on Halloween items last year. By contrast, residents of Lake Forest spent a little less checking in at $108,116 while Highland Parkers spent an aggregate $138,063,
