Deerfield Farmer’s Market Offers More Than Food

Weekly Village gathering gives not for profit organizations an opportunity to share message.

When people arrive at the Deerfield Farmers’ Market between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. each Saturday, they have an opportunity to do more than shop for food and listen to live music.

Each week the market is opened to not for profit and civic organizations to give them a chance to let people know what they are doing. This week the Deerfield Community Nursery School and the Southlake Mosquito Abatement District were there.

“We want to give them a chance to fundraise and offer information about their cause,” Market Manager Joan Reed said.
