Deerfield Has Large Choice of Good Friday Services

Pick from the Patch listing of churches for your worship choice.

With many churches in Deerfield, there are plenty of places for local residents to observe Good Friday.

Some places will have sunrise services for Easter and others will do Stations of the Cross on Good Friday. Here are the Patch listings for the local churches with a listing of some of their Good Friday services. Complete schedules are contained on the church websites:

  • Christ United Methodist Church will combine its Good Friday observance with Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
  • Congregational Church in Deerfield
  • The First Presbyterian Church of Deerfield will open its sanctuary for meditation fron 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday with a brief service at noon.
  • Holy Cross Parish will observe Good Friday as a congregation at 3 p.m. Friday.
  • North Suburban Church will have a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. Friday.
  • North Chicago Onnuri Church
  • North Shore Unitarian Church
  • St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church starts Good Friday with a 7 a.m. service and a vigil of the Cross from noon to 3 p.m. Stations of the Cross will be held at 7:30 p.m.
  • Trinity United Church of Christ
  • True Way Presbyterian Church
