Deerfield Offers Wide Variety of Easter Services

Pick from the Patch listing of churches for your worship choice.

With many churches in Deerfield, there are plenty of places for local residents to celebrate Easter Sunday.

Some places will have sunrise services for Easter and others will do Stations of the Cross on Good Friday. Here are the Patch listings for the local churches with a listing of some of their Easter services. Complete schedules are contained on the church websites:

  • Christ United Methodist Church will hold its service at 10 a.m. Sunday.
  • Congregational Church in Deerfield will offer Easter worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
  • The First Presbyterian Church of Deerfield will hold a sunrise service at 6:25 a.m. Sunday followed by worship services at 8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m.
  • Holy Cross Parish starts the weekend with a blessing of Easter baskets at 1 p.m. Saturday before an 8 p.m. service for Holy Saturday. Easter mass will be said at 8 and 10 a.m. as well as noon.
  • North Suburban Church will have services at 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday.
  • North Chicago Onnuri Church
  • North Shore Unitarian Church
  • St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church will celebrate the Holy Eucharist and a renewal of baptismal vows at 8 a.m. with Easter services at 9 and 11 a.m. The earlier service will have a children’s sermon.
  • Trinity United Church of Christ will gather for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. before its 10 a.m. worship.
  • True Way Presbyterian Church
  •  Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church holds its Easter service at 9:30 a.m.
