Deerfield Spared as 20,000 ComEd Customers Without Power in Northern Illinois
No outages reported in Village.
No power outages were reported in Deerfield but as of 8 a.m., 20,000 Commonwealth residential and businesses customers are without power in Northern Illinois, according to a ComEd Spokesman.
As of 9:30 a.m., a spokesperson for the Deerfield Department of Public Works said no outages had been reported in Deerfield. In other parts of northern Illinois, that was not the case.
“We have deployed crews, they are going to the areas impacted by the storm," said Tony Hernandez, ComEd Spokesman. "Once they get on site and determine whether they need to clear tree debris they will start restoring power as soon as possible.” The region includes Deerfield.
