 The Child and Family Law Center of the North Shore, Ltd., is pleased to announce that we are hosting: 

 Autism Summit - 2011:

A Day with the Experts  Saturday,

  Parents, professionals, teachers and administrators are invited to attend and benefit from presentations that will include practical information given by a variety of experts working in the field of autism.

Presentations to include:

  • Micki Moran, J.D. on Legal Issues in Special Education-IEP Development and Transition.
  • Allan Bergman on the state of funding, adult services, and creating options for your adult child.  
  • Ruth Kraus, Ph.D. on Research Based Interventions: Making Sense of the Research.
  • Rachel Loftin, Ph.D. on Diagnostic Evaluations.
  • Joe Scally, J.D., on Guardianship and Special Needs Trusts.
  • Sherri Schneider, L.C.S.W. on Benefits.   
  • Teri Steinberg on creating Microboards and Cooperatives to support individuals with creative housing options, employment and building community inclusion.   
  • Margaret Tanenberg, M.S.W, L.S.W, A.C.S.W on how Center for Independent Futures helps individuals with disabilities realize full lives by creating new possibilities and opportunities. 

The program will conclude with a Panel Q and A. 

 

A Resource Fair, Continental Breakfast and Lunch will give participants an opportunity to exchange information informally.
