Experience the Lincoln Park Zoo at WONDER!

WONDER!, the first-of-its-kind retail concept, is celebrating its grand opening week with snakes, turtles and frogs, oh my! The largest children’s retail store, at 135,000 square feet, offers informative, educational and fun events to be enjoyed by both children and their parents. The Lincoln Park Zoo will be making a trip to Deerfield this Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, to kick-off the educational programming events at WONDER!. Held in the “Play and Party Area,” children will be able to experience the half-acre/20,000-square-foot indoor play space with 20-ft live trees and come face-to-face with a variety of animals.

The Lincoln Park Zoo, dedicated to connecting people with nature by providing a free, family-oriented wildlife experience in the heart of Chicago, will not show up empty handed –  a variety of animals will be present including snakes, turtles and more. Parents can bring their children for an evening of fun and learning. A zoologist will be present to teach kids about the different animals, answer questions and instruct them about how to safely handle the animals. Parents are encouraged to bring their children for an evening of animal encounters – all free of charge.
