Fundraising Underway After Trinity Student Found Dead in Dorm

The death of a 20-year-old Trinity International University student last month has led to an online fundraiser to help raise money for his family to pay for the “financial burdens that occurred with this tragedy.”

Eli J. Kerr, of Florida, a student and football player at the university, was found dead in his dorm room in early March.

The Give Forward fundraiser has raised more than $22,000 so far, which is more than 80 percent of its $27,500 goal, according to its webpage. The page features a picture of Kerr, smiling in his football jersey.
