Deerfield is getting in the holiday spirit as anyone driving by the intersection of Deerfield and Waukegan Roads can see by the giant Christmas card the owners of Deerfield Square have sent to the community.

Chicago Public School art teacher Diane Drexler has been creating the Halloween and Holiday displays at for the last six years according to shopping center owner Chuck Malk.

“We have had a high school art teacher doing our Halloween, Christmas and Chanukah displays for us,” Malk said. The Halloween display came down recently as a giant jack-in-the-box sprang up amidst lots of toys.
