Orphans of the Storm Extends Holiday Hours

Anyone looking for a different caroling experience can sing along with the animals Thursday through Sunday through Dec. 23 at Orphans of the Storm in Riverwoods.

Both professional and amateur musicians will lead the effort at 5 p.m. each Thursday through Saturday. On Sundays, the music can be heard from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m., according to a news release from the organization.

Though there is no charge. Donations of money, blankets, newspapers and pet supplies are welcome. Cookies and cocoa are offered at the Sunday sing alongs.

The complete music calendar is located on the Orphans of the Storm website. “Stop in and enjoy the season with us and quite possibly meet a friend for life,” a spokesperson said in the release.
