Patch Picks: Sweet Spots for Valentine's Day in Deerfield
Restaurants entice customers with free drinks, heart shaped pizzas, and special deals this Feb. 14.
Deerfield can be romantic: the way downtown gets decorated around the holidays, the mix of old and new, quaint and modern standing side by side. Local restaurants and bars pick up on that romantic vibe this time of year and offer a few specials to help locals feel the love. We have a run down of some of Deerfield's choice romantic options this Valentine's Day.
Deerfield's premiere sushi bar offers specials from time to time, most notably their monthly buffet. The staff says they will be serving a great deal on Valentine's Day this year as well. On Monday night, patrons will be offered a choice of appetizer, a selection of different entrees, two glasses of wine and a dessert for $75 per couple.
What better way to show you care than ordering your loved one a heart-shaped hamburger. That's exactly what's going to be on TeddyFabz menu starting Thursday night and running through Monday. Those dining on Feb. 14 will also be treated to free Valentine’s Day cards, candy for all kids, and half off wine.

The pizza restaurant gets into the spirit on Monday night. Il Forno will be serving up medium, large and extra large heart shaped pizzas as well, for customers who ask. "No extra charge on these (for making them heart shaped)," says the staff here. "But if you want them to be heart shaped, you have to mention it."
The Greek bar and restaurant evokes a certain romance year round, with it's attractive dining room and party like atmosphere. How will they be celebrating the lover's holiday this year? "We will be revealing our menu soon," one of the servers told us. "It will be posted on our Facebook page."

Rhapsody is a step above the standard eggs and potatoes spot, offering tasty (dare we say sensual?) menu items like sweet and savory crepes, passionately spicy Latin influenced dishes, and much more. They'll also be offering up a little something special for Valentine's that's TBD. "I'm sure Ramon will be doing something very special for us," a waitress said, speaking of Rhapsody's cook and owner.
The burger and steak house chain can't pass up an opportunity to celebrate love. That's why, on Monday night, they will be greasing the wheels of lovers in Deerfield by offering a free drink. "Just come in and tell your server you want the free house drink," the staff assured us. "They will know what you mean."
