Patty Turner Men's Group Member to be Honored Tuesday

Dick Faro, a 33-year science teacher at Evanston Township High School, will be recognized for mentoring and community contributions throughout his career.

Dick Faro, Deerfield resident and member of the Patty Turner Men's Group in Deerfield, will be honored Tuesday, Sept. 4 for his community contributions throughout his 33-year career as a science teacher at Evanston Township High School (ETHS). 

Faro, who is now retired, taught numerous science classes at ETHS since joining the faculty in 1967. He mentored thousands of children, and also served as the director of the Planetarium at the high school for 22 years. 

The Patty Turner Center Men's Group meets each Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m.
