Traffic Alert: Lake Cook Road Lane Closure

Motorists may want to plan an alternate route on Monday and possibly even Tuesday of next week.

The Cook County Highway Department has notified the Village of Deerfield that the final section of the middle lane of Lake Cook Rd. is scheduled to be paved early next week.

This paving operation will begin at 7:30 am and will end, likely, by 7 am, when the entire middle lane of Lake Cook Rd. has been completely paved.

Traffic which has been reduced to one lane in each direction all summer will remain in this configuration, but full stops throughout the construction zone will take place intermittently as concrete trucks enter and leave the site and concrete finishers complete the finished surface of the pavement.

The work has been tentatively schedule for Monday October 31st, but may be pushed back to Tuesday November 1st, depending upon a number of factors that may affect the project.

It is strongly recommended that motorists determine an alternate route in advance.
