Who will be King? That’s one of the questions Deerfield Family Theater Producer Susan Redondo and Director Stephen M. Genovese answer when their August auditions conclude for their casting of The King and I. Auditions for Family Theater’s production of rogers and Hammerstein’s famous musical are:Monday & Tuesday, August 27 & 28 for Adults and High School Students (open to everyone; beginning at 6:30 pm.) andWednesday, August 29 for Grades 4-6 at 6:30 p.m. and for Grades 7-8 at 8:00 p.m. Auditions for those in Grades 4-8 are open only to those who reside within Deerfield Park District boundaries or attend school in Deerfield. Callbacks begin on Thursday, August 30 at 6:30 p.m. All auditions are at Jewett Park Community Center, 836 Jewett Park Drive, Deerfield. Eveyone auditioning needs to provide sheet music, come prepared to sing 16 bars of their favorite song and bring appropriate footwear for dance audition.
