Deerfield Park District offers Trips during the December winter break for students in grades 1-8.

Holiday Happenings: Deerfield Park District offers trips to various fun locations for students in Grades 1-8 during the Winter Holiday Break period.  All pick ups and drop offs are at Jewett Park Community Center, 836 Jewett Park Drive, in Deerfield. Extended (before- and after-) Care is also available for additional fee for each of the below trips.* Holiday Happenings include trips to: Enchanted Castle - #153311, on Monday, December 20, from 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Participants will get pizza, soda, 15 game tokens, unlimited miniature golf and bumper cars, and one game of lazer tag. Cost is $40 per resident; $50 per non resident; Safari Land - #153315, on Tuesday, December 21, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.. Safari Land in Villa Park is our exotic destination for bowling, video games and riding the bumper cars. Pizza and soda will be provided for lunch. Cost is $45 per resident; $5 per nonresident; Nickel City - #153313, on Wednesday, December 22, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Nickel City in Northbrook is the place to play the hottest video and redemption games. Each child will receive $10 in nickels and there are also 30 games that are free to play! Pizza and soda will be provided for lunch. Cost is $30 per resident; $42 per nonresident. Odyssey Fun World- # 153312, on Thursday, December 23, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Odyssey Fun World in Naperville has 56,000 square feet of video games, laser tag, bumper boats, and more. Each child will receive 20 tokens and pizza and soda for lunch. You may bring extra money to purchase additional tokens. Cost is $45 per resident; $56 per nonresident. During the second week off school, trips take place to: Gameworks - #153306, on Monday, December 27, from 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Gameworks in Schaumburg is the latest and greatest in video games, virtual reality, sky pirates, Hollywood bowling, Indy cars, and so much more. You'll get two full hours of game play plus carnival credits. Please eat lunch prior to this trip. Cost is $49 per resident; $62 per nonresident; Marriott Theater - # 153323, on Tuesday, December 28, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., we head to the Marriott Theater to see their production of the Wizard of Oz and then we will head back to the park district for lunch. Pizza and soda provided. Please sign up early as tickets are limited. Cost is $35 per resident; $44 per nonresident; Rinkside Sports- #153314, on Wednesday, December 29, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., we'll enjoy a a little bit of everything and a whole lot of fun! We'll ice skate, play video games, and you can chose to play laser tag or Miniature Golf. Plus, there's pizza and soda for lunch. Cost is $43 per resident; $53 per nonresident; and finally, Laser Quest- #153309, on Thursday, December 30, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., have a great time with your friends at Laser Quest in Arlington Heights.Enjoy three fast-paced games of laser tag. Please bring a sack lunch and drink. Cost: $39 per resident; $49 per nonresident.

Extended Care - #153302: For "Extended Care" options that extend the day from as early as 8:00 a.m. to as late as 6:00 p.m., children should be dropped off and picked up at JEWETT PARK COMMUNITY CENTER. Parents are asked to double check trip information to determine lunch needs. All Children should be picked up by 6:00 PM. Fee per day of Extended Care is $20 per resident; $25 per non-resident.*
