Breathe Deep North Shore Registration & Fundraising Going Strong

For the third consecutive year, the North Shore community will unite in the fight against lung cancer by supporting Breathe Deep North Shore, a 5K fun run, 1.5/2.5 mile walk, and a meaningful balloon launch to be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Deerfield High School. Registration is going strong with almost 300 participants already registered and over $103,000 raised.

Over 1,600 participants are expected with a fundraising goal of $185,000, which will support lung cancer research into early detection and more effective treatments. Last year the event raised $170,000.

Breathe Deep North Shore will include games, a photo booth, massages, hair braiding, nail polish changes, and other fun activities for kids as well as the music of HYPE Productions. Refreshments will be provided by Corner Bakery, Whole Foods, Upper Crust Bagels and other neighborhood donors; and prizes will be awarded for top fundraising teams and individuals. Registration for the event costs $10-25, and all pre-registered participants will receive a t-shirt.

Breathe Deep North Shore will pay tribute to those in the community who have lost their fight with, or are fighting, lung cancer. Event participants may submit names to northshore@lungevity.org for display on the Breathe Deep North Shore website and event day banner.
