Electric Car Dealer To Open Nearby
With a price tag in excess of $60,000 Tesla Motors will open its first dealership on the North Shore.
Tesla Motors, a luxury automobile company selling luxury electric cars with a price tag in excess of $60,000 will open its first North Shore dealership and the fourth in Chicgoland at 1200 Old Skokie Road in Highland Park by the end of the year, according to a story on Chicago Real Estate Daily.
There are already 100 Tesla cars in Chicago and more than 500 in Illinois, according to the Chicago Real Estate Daily story. “I live there, and you see a bunch of (Tesla) cars,” Daniel Hyman of Highland Park, who is involved in the commercial real estate industry, said in the article. “It's easier to have one in your garage at home where you can plug it in, than being in the city and living in a condo building.”
Josh Silverglade of Equitable handled the real estate transaction with the assistance of the City of Highland Park, according to Highland Park City Councilwoman Alyssa Knobel.
