Fuddruckers Plans Saturday Reopening

Restaurant will be up and running for lunch Saturday after a driver destroyed an outside wall last month.

Though the damage will keep the private party room closed a little while longer, the restaurant will operate as if nothing ever happened, according to Manager John Campbell. Repairs have been made and the City has given its approval.

“With all the phone calls and emails we’ve received asking when we’re reopening and offering support the community has been real nice,” Campbell said.

The establishment will open at 11 a.m. Saturday and remain open through its normal closing time of 10 p.m. Regular hours will be in place.

Several days after the crash, a Deerfield man was arrested for criminal damage to property for smashing the wall and for aggravated assault for striking two other motorists before hitting Fuddruckers.
