It's good to have some at revenue and one less empty store front. Hopefully it's a long term lease and not a Honquest type situation. Also, is it a real retail store selling factory fresh mattresses or an 'outlet' store as stated in the article. Deerfield does not need more 'outlet' stores. Regarding this lovcation. Did anything ever get addressed about the parking right out the door being reserved parking for offices? That never made since. Parking near stores should be for the stores, make the office workers walk a few steps.

So let me understand this. Considering the mattress store in Deerbrook, Deerfield should, if all goes as expected, double its sales tax revenue on mattress sales from 2 mattresses a week....to four mattresses a week? WOW! doubling sales is a good thing?

I, personally am thrilled. I don't care if its an outlet store or the Barney's of mattresses. Im happy to see a Retailer that has the potential to bring in sales tax revenue, not another doctor's office. Good luck mattress people, and I hope you are very successful.

Aren't there two bedding stores in Deerbrook, or did one already close?

It's kinda funny that they don't know the name of the company moving in, wouldn't the name of the mattress company be on the permit? I'm gonna sleep on this.

REALLY!?!?!? What the h*ll are these guys doing?!?!?!? Back to Bed, American Mattress and a third store within a five minute drive of each other? To the town ... would you PLEASE start becoming ACTIVELY involved with the developers BEFORE THE LEASE IS SIGNED? If you don't know how to steer business to the town, then get a consultant who does. This is becoming a joke.

The lessee probably figured all those parking places between the bank and the old Blockbuster would be for his store. No, his customers can't park there.....more Village wisdom

Is anyone else concerned by the major traffic these mattress pushing people will draw? Think NATO all year round folks. And you thought Clybourn and North Ave was a mess to drive thru. I envision massive lines forming even before the Grand Opening, like when the iPad was first released.

My total reaction: BIG DEAL! Now we all have a destination. ONCE EVERY 10 YEARS. Yikes!

Ugh. This type of store in the center of Deerfield is seriously sad. Totally out of place in this central location. Can you imagine a Bedding Outlet (outlet no less) in Lake Forest Market Sq, Port Clinton Highland Park or next to Francesca North in Northbrook? This reflects a desperation for a renter and a city with little involvement, interest or vision in steering the central town center toward developing a quality village center. What is the vision for this town? Ultimately this is about leadership, management and vision.

I agree - - bad news.

Would this be the location just North of the tire store, across from the two gas stations? It fits perfectly.

I agree that it's not the best location for a mattress store, but get off your high horse. I grew up in Deerield and I cannot believe how snobby it has become. Good riddance!
