Michael Jordan Inspired Store Readies To Open

Angelo Turcanu’s dream of owning his own business selling sports related shoes and apparel began in boyhood and was inspired in part by the exploits of former Highland Park resident and Chicago Bulls Hall of Fame basketball player Michael Jordan.

And now that dream is about to be realized when Turcanu opens the store in mid November. People walking by Defining Moments on First Street just north of Central Avenue may see Turcanu and others put merchandise on tables and fixtures.

Turcanu has lined up a number of brands for his store including 8 & 9 Clothing, Bobby Fresh, LRG Apparel, Fila, Creative Recreation American Needle and Diadora, an Italian shoe company.
