Optimists Set Fundraiser Tuesday

Deerfield residents will have an opportunity to make a charitable donation to help the from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday while dining at at Deerfield Square. 

The joint effort between the Optimists and Tom & Eddie’s provides 10 percent of the restaurant’s net proceeds from the day will go to the Optimists. 

The Optimists’ efforts benefit organizations like , the North Shore Special Education District, an Easter egg hunt, camps, a basketball tournament, , and other financial youth activities.

“This will help us raise money so we can continue our services to the community,” Optimist Barbara Reich said.

Tom & Eddy’s, which opened its Deerfield restaurant in June, has already held similar events for Deerfield Public Schools District 109, the and the Special Olympics.
