Photo Gallery: Shoppers Find Sidewalk Sale Bargains

Customers and merchants call weekend event a success.

Shoppers were finding bargains at Deerfield Square’s annual Sidewalk Sale Thursday through Sunday and merchants were pleased with the event.

At b friends, Mckayla O’Neal of Deerfield found three rings for $1, according to her mother, Lisa O’Neal. That section did particularly well, according to Ricki Goldstick. “The $1 table went real fast,” Goldstick said.

Debbie Applebaum of Glenview was looking at numerous dresses at while Debbie Hickey of Deerfield was seeking bargains at . “Anything that is a good bargain I desire,” Hickey said.

Footloose owner Larry Rosen was happy with the three-day event as well. “It was great, excellent,” he said. “The advertising was strong.”

While the Saks family was bargain hunting at , they were also looking forward to cooling off after shopping as well. “Deerspring Pool will be better,” Brad Saks said.
